Headcanons
• Sometime in their teens-early 20s they went off to travel the world and went to a ton of different languages. While on this adventure they stopped and lived in Italy for a good four-five years. A lot of the Toplino events happened during this time.
• After coming home from Italy they joined SHUSH as Agent 64. (This HC spawns from two one off comics one where Fethry was training to be a spy and one where they trained to be a detective.)
• 5-6 years later they moved to Brazil. Because they were out of jurisdiction for SHUSH this is how they picked up the identity of Red Bat. After they moved away RB stuck.
• They stayed in Brazil for around 4 years before coming back to Duckburg again. This is where Scrooge put them into the under sea lab. Once they got out they went off and this is around the time they found Dugan.
• After coming home from finding Dugan they settled down in Duckburg again and then joined the Money Bin Lab.
• Fethry is very bubbly and openly emotional but also will keep stuff bottled up in some cases. Depending on what it is.
• Ever since coming back from the under sea lab they have a very hard time handling crowds. They often use noise canceling headphones when out of the house.
• Fethry’s main nervous tic is playing with the ball on the end of their hat. Sometimes even chewing on it.
• A weird combination of oblivious and emotionally observant.
Relationships
Gladstone Gander
Fethry and Gladstone were almost inseparable as kids and this closeness has continued into adulthood. The two of them being more like brothers and cousins. Fethry is quite sure that if platonic soulmates were a thing, Gladstone was theirs. Where few people understand Fethry’s eccentric ways or Galdstone being more than just his luck, Fethry and Gladstone always understood each other.
Donald Duck
Fethry and Donald don’t always see eye to eye. Despite almost always being pared to work together, especially for Scrooge, the two did have their share of differences. Of course this doesn’t mean that Fethry and Donald weren’t still externally close in their own regards.
Della Duck
Fethry always referred to Della as their BFC. Best Friend Cousin. Della was their second closest cousin and the two of them got along amazingly. When Della was gone (dead in comics, assumed dead in show) it took a lot out of Fethry.
The Loons
Fethry was always closest with their mother, Lulubelle. Fethry looked and acted much more like Lulubelle than Eider, unlike Abner. Fethry never had nearly as good a relationship with their father, Eider, as they did their mother. Rider was in no way abusive but was like any father to a son. Often tough on Fethry and expecting things from them that they could never achieve. Fethry and Abner’s relationship was always somewhat strained. Fethry needed an older sibling who not only could accept and understand them and their emotions but who could also open up in return. Abner was not that person. This disconnect is a good part in what caused Fethry to drift closer to Galdstone than anyone else.
Scrooge McDuck
Scrooge has never, and possibly will never, fully understand Fethry. Scrooge, much like Donald, is often easily annoyed by the Loon. Despite getting easily frustrated with them, making them work for him, and even leaving them in the lab for so long, Fethry holds no animosity for their uncle. In fact, they barely seem to notice.
Dugan Duck
Much like in the comic, Fethry found Dugan years after he hatched and took him in. This headcanon is a bit out of left field but I designed it to fit better than just another “Disney character has random sister who drops nephew/niece off with them all the fucking time”. Basically, Dugan is not actually Fethry's nephew but instead their cousin on their mother’s side. Dugan’s parents passed away (I tend to think plane crash makes more sense than punching a stork) and Fethry decides to take Dugan in since there’s no one else to watch him. Dugan misinterprets their blood relationship and dubs Fethry his uncle and takes up their last name. Despite the strange logistics regarding their familiar relationship, Dugan and Fethry still have more of a parent/son bond than anything else.
Dickie Duck
Dickie and Fethry have been friends for a long time and are quite close. Fethry can sometimes be found hanging out with Dickie and Daisy on occasion.
Gloria Pascoalina
Gloria is an old girlfriend of Fethry’s and though they are no longer dating they are still good friends. Fethry often makes sure to keep up with her as much as they can despite both of them having their own lives.
José Carioca
José and Fethry met in Brazil. After Zé took up the mantel of Green Bat their feud began. They have nothing but animosity for one another and often end up arguing.
Gyro Gearloose
Fethry very much likes and looks up to Gyro. They know the inventor is very intelligent and hopes that one day he can teach Fethry to be a real scientist. They love watching Gyro work and seeing how things get out together.
Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera
Fethry finds Fenton easy to talk to and often goes to him with things they feel like they can’t go to Gyro about. Whether it be because they broke something in the lab or are embarrassed over not understanding something like a task or such.
Gandra Dee
Fethry doesn’t know her well but thinks Gandra is cool and would like to befriend her. Of course how that goes about is to be seen due to recent canon developments.
About the Mun
• I’m Duck, I go by they/them and I am 19.
• I’ve been in love with the Duckverse since I was younger, Darkwing Duck being my favorite. When I started getting into the comics Fethry became a favorite of mine and still is to this day.
• I’ve been role playing since I was in middle school and I have a lot of experience. This is my first time on Twitter but I think I’ve got the gist of it down pat.
• Where it’s mostly for fun I’m delighted to do a serious rp if asked.
• I’m a genuinely nervous kinda person so if I come off too eccentric or overly disinterested I apologize! I often get over excited about things but when I try to tone it down I sometimes come off a bored. Just know that I’m approachable and just kinda stupid.
